Felix B. Maduro is known as one of the oldest companies in the Republic of Panama. It was founded in 1877 by Esther Piza de Maduro[1]. The establishment became the only place where individuals could purchase European imported perfumes, hats, and scarfs. It was the only store that had an air-conditioned salon where they would keep their dresses.{{cn|date=December 2017}} Once it was founded, the company went by the name of The Maduro Co., but in 1928, it was changed to “Felix B. Maduro”.{{cn|date=December 2017}} After 138 years under the management of the Maduro family, Felix B. Maduro, was sold to Abdul Waked[2], a notorious businessman, in 2015. Yet, Abdul Waked was arrested for money laundering charges by the United States. A year later, in 2016, the retail chain was sold to FBM Retail Corp.[3] DepartmentsFelix B.
