Feral pioneered the use of Silent Disco Headsets for Silent Theatre in The Gingerbread House[1] in 2009, a concept that has since been adapted and exported by theatre companies in Birmingham, Liverpool and Glasgow. Feral's next production was Locked[2], a spin on the Brothers Grimm's Rapunzel, again using Silent Disco Headsets but in this production to represent Rapunzel's isolation as an elective mute. Feral's next major production was Shattered[3], combining Hoffman's Sandman with Hans Christian Anderson's Ole Lukøje. Feral's later expansion to site-inspired pieces began with the schools' trilogy River Song[4][5], detailing the journey of the River Wye from source to sea, followed quickly by 7AIRS, a song cycle based at the Ledbury Poetry Festival. Feral's multi sensory wellbeing piece "Follow Me" launched the company's touring arm in 2018 and was performed in libraries throughout Herefordshire and Gloucestershire. The tour concluded with sellout performances at the Hay Festival, May 2018. FollowingFollow Me[6][7] Productions Index Year | Production | Director | Writer/adapter | Design | Cast | Location |
