Fusing several styles, Floyds Row explores the connections between classical, folk, roots revival, Americana, and bluegrass/newgrass repertoire.[1] The name refers to the road, Floyds Row, that leads to the Faculty of Music (University of Oxford), near the Bate Collection of Musical Instruments Fusing a variety of styles, Floyds Row repertoire includes both original material and pieces pulled from the early British folk tradition and English Renaissance. This release, featuring original works and arrangements by band members Andrew Arceci and Chris Ferebee, combines classical, world, jazz, and rock music.[1] HistoryThe idea for the group evolved from a project Chris Ferebee coordinated with Alistair Anderson and Andrew Arceci at St. Hilda's College, Oxford. Said project led to a studio recording that became The Oxford Sessions, under the name Floyds Row.[2] Discography
