HistoryFoodJets was launched in 1993 by then-college student Darren McAdams.[3] Originally called Food To You, the company quickly grew to service 100+ cities in six states with over 3,000 restaurant partners.[4] Primarily a platform for having local restaurant food delivered to customer's homes and offices, the company also works with Raley's and Nob Hill Foods to deliver groceries in some markets. Unlike some other food-delivery platforms, FoodJets works exclusively with member restaurants. Every restaurant has an integrated customized tablet that allows two-way communication with both delivery drivers and the FoodJets system, allowing for more accurate order and delivery times. In 2018 FoodJets began selling franchises of their business model, allowing entrepreneurs to run delivery companies in cities across the country utilizing FoodJets proprietary, top-tier technology. FoodJets' strategic partners include Raley's, Nob Hill Foods, the Sacramento Kings, HaneyBiz, and AutoX. With the AutoX autonomous car partnership, franchisees will soon be able to deliver the best local restaurants in their respective cities curbside with driverless FoodJets vehicles.
