Plot SummaryThe play is a fast paced contemporary look into the lives of three working class women, adrift in modern day Dublin seeking sex, deliverance and in danger of going under.Performed without an interval, the action does not let up. BEE, a single mom (who was a teenage Mum) and is now about to become a Granny in her thirties and is having difficulty reconciling her wild past and the fact that her life is about to change, as she looses her son to another woman. Her bossy boss VAL who is eternally single and desperate for sex and human connection, forces Bee to accompany her out to nightclubs to look for "fresh meat" but Bee is growing tired of this lifestyle, particularly when a handsome stranger strides into the bank one day and pushes his number under the glass, only trouble is he's married. Val warns her not to pursue him, no matter how she falls for his charms. Both women come from poor economical backgrounds, but have worked all their lives and now have good steady jobs in the bank. The other woman in the play is TINA (30's), she is also from a similar background, but instead of working, she married "up", and became a trophy wife. She thought it would give her everything she needed, but her increasingly bald, overweight husband physically repulses her, even though he keeps her financially secure, (he is the bank manager where Bee and Val work) she cannot bare for him to touch her. But she craves human connection, so she fills her lonely days up with shopping and beauty treatments, but one random night she just happens to be in a cocktail bar when she meets AIDAN, who might just be the answer to her dreams. The three women's lives collide, and friendship is tested and loyalty and each woman finds out what she will and won't do for Love. CharactersBee, a single Mom, who was a teenage Mum is about to become a granny in her thirties. Val, is pushing 40 and Bee's boss at the bank, also her confidant. Tina (30's) married a man for money but is having difficulty keeping him away, and keeping it together. Aidan is a wealthy artist, a married man from the North of Ireland who has recently moved to Dublin. He is worlds apart from BEE both socially and economically. There are various male roles in the play also. All played by the male actor.
