Adelman[5][6] The first closed-end fund, FS Investment Corp, opened to clients in January of 2009, at which point the fund was raising approximately $150 million USD per month.[7] In December 2018 a partnership between FSIC and KKR Credit Advisors announced the merger of FSIC and Corporate Capital Trust, Inc to create the second-largest publicly traded business development company in the world, and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker “FSK”.[8] While managing over $24 billion USD across 12 different funds, in late 2018, the FSIC acknowledged many performance problems to investors, and the eroding valuation of its flagship fund.[9] FundsOpen
