DetailsVinoba Bhave was giving lectures in Geeta in the year 1915 in Baroda. His mother was not able to follow that. She asked Vinoba to translate Geeta into Marathi language. Vinoba says, "It was mother's faith on me which prompted me to render Bhagwat Geeta into Marathi. The Geetai is created in the similar shloka form the way it was written in Sanskrit. The 1st edition was published in 1932. Till date, 268 editions are been published of this book.
