}}Lukas Rossander (born June 7, 1995) in Copenhagen, Denmark[2], is a Danish professional Global Offensive player, and is the current In Game Leader and rifler of the team Astralis, who is better known by the moniker gla1ve. [3]

Career

2012/2013

Gla1ve first started CS GO in a briefly lived TT Dragons roster, before moving onto Copenhagen Wolves. However, that lineup would also soon disband, and gla1ve soon found himself in Anexis Esports, along with Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen, Nichlas "Nille" Busk, Jacob "Pimp" Winneche, and Nicolaj "Nico" Jensen.[4] Notable results for Western Wolves were when they placed 2nd at Copenhagen Games 2013, losing to the dominant team at the time Nip, and a 3rd place finish at Mad Catz Invitational: Birmingham. [5] Despite these results, Western Wolves would soon disband as Gla1ve and the team's star AWPer Nicolaj "Nico" Jensen went into inactivity due to school. [6] Gla1ve would soon find himself back playing Counter-Strike professionally, as he attended the first CS:GO Major, Dreamhack Winter 2013 with n!faculty, where they would be knocked out in the group stage in 9th-12th place.

2014/2015

Gla1ve would soon transfer to 3DMAX, where he would exit EMS One Katowice 2014 in the same fashion. After returning to Copenhagen Wolves, the team had little notable finishes, except for two more group stage exits at the next majors, ESL One Cologne 2014 and Dreamhack Winter 2014. After the GDK Tournament, gla1ve would find himself removed from the team. The reason was due to a dispute between the tournament organizer and gla1ve, since gla1ve said he would boycott the tournament unless his girlfriend was allowed on stage.[7] Gla1ve would once again find himself in a position of relative inactivity, as he played for no high level teams during 2015.[8]

2016

Gla1ve would return to Copenhagen Wolves in a new Danish lineup containing Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, Danny "smF" Dyg, Valdemar "valde Bjørn Vangså, and Daniel "mertz" Mertz. Gla1ve would have his performance hampered by multiple collapsed lungs, but nevertheless, this roster would soon form Heroic, containing gla1ve, Snappi, valde, along with Michael "Friis" Jørgensen and Andreas "MODDII" Fridh.[9][10] A notable result for gla1ve was when he stood in for Markus "Kjærbye" Kjærbye of Astralis at ESL One Cologne 2016, due to the latter being disqualified due to playing with another team during the qualifier. Gla1ve achieved a quarterfinal appearence, and received his largest check at the time, of $35,000. In Heroic, gla1ve found moderate success, including a 3rd place finish at Northern Arena 2016 in Toronto, and a quarterfinals appearance at Starladder and i-League StarSeries Season 2. Gla1ve would soon find himself on Astralis for real this time, replacing the former in-game leader Finn "karrigan" Andersen. Astralis would immediately find success, earning a 2nd place finish at ELEAGUE Season 2, and winning the ECS Season 2 Finals.

2017

Astralis started the year at a high note, winning the first major of the year, ELEAGUE Major 2017 Atlanta, and taking home $500,000. They would follow this up with a win at IEM Katowice 2017, and a 2nd place finish at Starladder & i-League Season 3. More notable results include a semifinals finish at PGL Major Kraków 2017. Astralis also managed two more 2nd place finishes, one at ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017, and one at BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen 2017. Despite not winning any events after IEM Katowice, gla1ve would earn $291,933.33. [1]

2018

2018 would start out as a terrible year for Astralis. A group stage exit at the first major of the year, Boston 2018. This would soon lead to Markus "Kjærbye" Kjærbye exiting Astralis, a move which left gla1ve "speechless." [11] The move came out of the blue, and it was confirmed Kjærbye had already signed with North by the time gla1ve and his teamates were notified. [12] Astralis ended up signing Emil "Magisk" Reif, a move which ended up spearheading the most successful year in the history of Counter-Strike.[13] After a semifinal exit at IEM Katowice 2018, Astralis won Dreamhack Masters Marseille, ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals, ECS Season 5 Finals, ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018, BLAST Pro Series: Istanbul 2018, IEM Chicago, ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals, ECS Season 6 Finals, and BLAST Pro Series Lisbon. During September, Astralis also won the London 2018. Astralis also won the first Intel Grand Slam, 1 million dollars which would be awarded to whoever won 4 ESL/Dreamhack organized tournaments within 10 events.[14] Throughout all of this, gla1ve was at the centre of Astralis' tactical supremacy. Due to being the IGL of Astralis, gla1ve, along with their coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen are often credited with the tactical innovations which allowed Astralis to be as successful as they were.[15] Gla1ve is also notable for helping perfect Astralis' Nuke, leading to their 29-0 (As of March 17th, 2019) LAN streak on Nuke. [16] Gla1ve's individual performance was also great this year, leading to him achieving the #8 spot on the HLTV Top 20 Players of the year. [17]In total, gla1ve earned $730,150.00 in 2018, a record in Counter-Strike. [1]

2019

Gla1ve led Astralis to a victory in the first major of the year, IEM Katowice 2019. Winning 3 majors in total (in CS:GO), is a feat which was only been completed by gla1ve's fellow teamates, excluding Magisk, and the fnatic players of Robin "flusha" Rönnquist, Jesper "JW" Wecksell, and Markus "pronax" Wallsten. Following this major win, it has lead some to describe this version of Astralis as the greatest lineup of all time.[18]
