HistoryCEO and founder, Ooshma Garg, developed the idea of Gobble though her own need for quick yet delicious meals. She founded her first start up in 2008 while a student at Stanford University[2]. With a very hectic schedule she was eating a lot of unhealthy fast food from her car. Garg’s father was concerned and flew out with a bag full of home cooked dinners.[3] Gobble was created to fill this need for nutritious and easy dinners for busy families. Gobble Inc was founded in 2014. [4] In October 2015, Gobble closed a $10.75 million Series A funding. One of the early stage investors was Trinity Ventures. In 2017 Gobble raised $15 million in Series B founding. [5] In August of 2018 Gobble partners with Walmart to sell its meal kits on Walmart's website. [6] ServiceGobble is the simple meal kit service that delivers 15 minute one pan meals. Gobble's dinners include vegetarian, gluten free, pescatarian and other meals.
