Godiva Monica Akullo is a Ugandan Feminist[1], Lawyer and lecturer of Law. She is the former Deputy Director of Chapter Four Uganda and is currently the Programs Manager at Open Society Initiative for East Africa. Background and EducationGodiva Akullo was born on 16th December 1990 in Lira District. She went to Kiswa Primary School and St Kizito Primary School for her Primary education. She then attended Mount Saint Mary's College Namagunga and Nabisunsa Girls Secondary School for her secondary education. She has a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, a Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Center and a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School[2]. Career and ActivismGodiva is a writer who has written for African Feminism (AF), an online website showcasing feminism and feminist experiences in Africa, since 2016. She is also an LGBT rights lawyer and activist[3][4]. She and her childhood friend, Susan Mirembe Nalunkuma, joined forces to fight against Uganda's controversial anti-homosexuality bill[5].
