Gurickk G Maan (born 21 December), is an Indian film director known for his work in Indian cinema.

Early Life

Gurickk was born in Patiala, Punjab. His father Gurdas Maan.^[1] is a legendary singer actor and mother Manjeet Maan is a director. He did his schooling from Eton college in the United Kingdom. At Eton he introduced the Indian sport of Kabaddi to Prince William among other students^[2].

He is also known to have introduced the technique of the Doosra (Known as the off spinners wrong one in cricket) to the former English Cricketer Alex Loudon^[3]

Career

Gurickk got his break as a director with Eternal Jogi (a song by Gurdas Maan) which never had an official release but was shown at the Wembley Arena in 2015 during Gurdas Maan’s UK tour. Gurickk’s first official directorial debut release was the short musical film Punjab^[4]^[5] featuring Gurdas Maan, in February of 2017. The film went on to cause a widespread stir on the Internet, with the film trending at number 1 spot on YouTube in India, Australia and Canada^[6]. Gurickk then directed a short film titled Mittar Pyaare Nu (shabd by Guru Gobind Singh Ji) that released on 8 August 2017 to great critical acclaim^[7]^[8]. The short film portrays an emotional Journey of one man, through the two most tragic events in Indian history, the 1947 partition and the 1984 Sikh genocide. His latest release is short musical film titled ‘Heartless’ featuring the Indian rapper Badshah from his debut music album titled O.N.E (original never ends) which released on the 14th of August^[9]^[10]
