释义 |
The Hairy Bacon Bowl was an annual flag football game between University of Colorado Boulder students and campus police officers in Boulder, Colorado. The game was played in the 1970s beginning in 1971 between the student team, named the Freaks, and the officers' team which was named the Razorbacks. Donations given during the game were distributed to local charities.[1][2] The name of the game was a tongue in cheek reference to the perception of hippie students as "hairy", and from the derogatory term "pig" for police officers.[3] References1. ^{{cite news|author=|date=10 December 1971|title=Hairy Bacon Bowl|url=https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/1306/10c37e560c14a03730ba1a2caf2a82420aa3.pdf|work=Albany Student Press|access-date=26 May 2018}} 2. ^{{cite news|author=|date=2 December 1972|title=Cops, Freaks Clash Sunday in 2nd Hairy Bacon Bowl|work=Boulder Daily Camera}} 3. ^(from player interviews, any contemporary news/study on this?) |
