She attended Maiganari Primary School and Yerwa Government Day Secondary School. She obtained a National Diploma in Shari’a and Civil Law from Mohammed Goni College for Legal Studies. In 2012, Halima joined the Hausa Movie Industry; Kannywood. She is the founder of Atete Foundation, an NGO that provides assistance to Internally Displaced Persons in Borno, Adamawa and Gombe States, Nigeria. Apart from acting, she is also a movie producer.[3] CareerHalima Yusuf Atete first featured in the movie; ‘Asalina’ in 2012. She has so far appeared in over 150 movies. She acted in a popular movie titled ‘Dakin Amarya’ where she displayed a role of a woman who would never share her man with any other woman. After her role in ‘Dakin Amarya’, her fans started referring to her as a ‘no nonsense actress’. She is very professional and passionate about acting and can interpret her roles well.
