He attended the primary school De Zonnewijzer before moving to the Trinitas College high school at the Han Fortmann location. After aquiring his VWO degree, he studied History and Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam respectively.[1] SportsBMXIn 2006, at the age of 9, Henk joined the BMX club F.C.C. Kley Drivers. Within months he stood out as an exceptionally technical rider, attracting the attention of several Dutch youth coaches. However, a lack of challenging competition and adequate structured training dissuaded him from continuing on this path. [2] AthleticsIn 2008 Henk made the switch to athletics, specialising in long distance running. He once again stood out as a talented and gifted athlete, beating the competition on a regular basis. However, once again, it didn't take long for Henk to realise that this was not the sport for him. [3] Later ActivitiesAfter deciding in 2010 that he had no desire pursuing a career marked by competition, he remained inactive for some years. He later decided to commit to an active lifestyle consisting of mainly running and fitness, to eventually pursue a career as an officer in the Netherlands Marine Corps.[4] In 2017 and 2018 he took part in multiple competitions and events like MudMasters and the open National Championships Prut Marathon, finishing 10th alongside, among others, Jorrit Polder.[5] ArtFrom a very young age, Henk expressed himself creatively by drawing and painting. By the time he moved to high school, he quickly made a name for himself as a gifted, but controversial and provocative artist. Mainly drawing scenes of war and controversial historical figures, he sparked debate several times among the school's board. This controversy reached it's climax when Henk drew a portrait of Adolf Hitler for a school asignment. His teacher so impressed by his work, that he decided to display the portrait in the school's hallway. This however, sparked outrage among several other students and teachers, and the portrait was soon removed. [6] MusicRecently Henk has enjoyed limited succes in Music. As the pianist and background vocalist of his band Master and Puppets he competes in the regional talent show De Grote Prijs.
