释义 |
The Henry Football League (HFL) is an American Football league both formed and run in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was established in December, 2017 as an attempt to end discrimination in football. They departed from another league and formed a separate entity, with much avail. They quickly drew interest from local players and gained much popularity. All went well until the HFL had a problem in November of 2018. They were looking to suspend an undisclosed player from their league. Some felt this contradict their efforts of making a league open for all, but the head committee decided it had to be done. On November 27, 2018, the player was suspended for activities descried as "unlawful," under the rules put in place by the HFL. This is the only time a player has been suspended from the league. On March 14, 2019, in honor of Pi Day, the HFL had its first ever day set aside for the enjoyment of its players. This was league-wide and, to some dismay, was criticized by fans. The HFL stated that they would "not be apologizing to such a frivolous claim." References |
