[8] Van Hart is a guest host interviewer on the TV program called Silicon Valley Open Studios 'Talk Art'. [4] ArtAwardsVan Hart has won awards for her paintings, including Grand Prize in the California Statewide Painting Competition[7] and Best of Houzz.[4] Also, she was awarded an artist fellowship by The Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists in 2017. Works of ArtVan Hart's oil paintings typically use subjects from nature, and she works in both representational and abstract styles.[7] There are many recognized pieces of artwork by Holly Van Hart, including: "Possibilities Abound" features a larger-than-life bird's nest with 3 eggs; it was awarded Grand Prize at the California Statewide Painting Competition in 2013. This oil painting was featured in Van Hart's solo exhibition at the Triton Museum of Art, which was also titled "Possibilities Abound".[7] DeWitt Cheng, writer for ArtNews, said this of Van Hart's exhibition, "These works about potential and metamorphosis, then, are clearly autobiographical, but they're also universal (as the deepest, most personal work often is, paradoxically." BackgroundVan Hart was born and raised in New York, where she learned painting and drawing from her mother.[11][1] She is a graduate of Stanford University School of Engineering.
