HostColor (Host Color LLC) is a web hosting company founded in 2002. It is an American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) member ^[4] with a data center based out of South Bend, Indiana. It provides virtual hosting, cloud computing, dedicated hosting and colocation service. The company operates separate U.S. and European websites and service portals.

Web hosting

The company uses LAMP archetypal model of web services with most of its infrastructure based on CentOS and Apache, MySQL, PHP and WHM/cPanel. It provides call-in phone support, live chat support and technical support through support tickets, inside the customers’ account profiles. It also does Managed services.

Cloud computing

HostColor’s Cloud computing infrastructure and services are based on VMware vSphere and features High availability of the processing operations, and Fault tolerance of the computing operations and storage services. The company hosts data on a computer data storage area network built with Distributed Replicated Block Device and with QSAN storage appliances.

Partnerships

HostColor is a partner on the Equinix ecosystem and member of the Equinix Internet Exchange. It is also a cPanel Partner NOC, partner to CloudLinux OS, CloudFlare, Oracle’s Ksplice, Softaculous Open Source Software auto-installer and other software producers such as. The company maintains multiple Peering Agreements^[6], among its peers are Apple, Netflix, LinkedIn, CenturyLink, Cogent Communications, Hurricane Electric, KDDI, Packet Clearing House, Illinois Century Network, TDS Telecom, US Signal, Cincinnati Bell, Taiwan Internet Gateway, etc. HostColor is one of the sponsors of the Open Source server automation software application Centos Web Panel (CWP). The company has been a long term sponsor of ModX CMS.
