HRO Today, short for Human Resource Outsourcing Today, is a monthly trade publication for human resources professionals, launched in 2002 by SharedXpertise (formerly Crossing Media)[1][2][3][4] The magazine provides extensive coverage of how companies reduce the cost of hiring and training their employees.[5] It compiles an annual list of Baker's Dozen Customer Satisfaction Ratings, naming the top HR related companies for various categories based on customers feedback and ratings, and also presents the HRO Today Service and Technology Association awards.[6][5] It also runs a forum and a research service.[7][8] Its collective audience, including its forums, reports to reach "over 180,000 senior-level HR decision-makers."[9][7][10] The awards have been publicized in The New York Times and CNBC[5][11][12] ImpactThe magazine was an early user of the term "Self-sourcing"[13] in an article titled "Insourcing, Outsourcing?
