Hyunjin Seo (서현진) is an associate professor and Docking Faculty Scholar[1] in the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. Seo leads the KU Center for Digital Inclusion[2] that offers technology and information literacy workshops to marginalized populations including refugees, minority seniors, and formerly incarcerated women now seeking to enter the workforce. Seo is also a fellow[3] at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. ResearchSeo’s research examines how individuals and organizations use digital communication technologies to mobilize for social change. Her research has been published in top-tier academic journals and received top paper awards at leading international conferences.[4] Previous WorkPrior to her graduate studies in the United States, Seo was a diplomatic correspondent for South Korean and international media outlets.
