Illini Terminal Railroad

The Illini Terminal Railroad is an American railway company in Litchfield, Illinois.

The company is a subsidiary of the Respondek Railroad. Since November 1, 2011, the Illini Terminal Railroad operates a 2.4-kilometer section of the former Alton-Hillsboro railway line of the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway. This will open up an industrial area and a North American Pipe Corporation plant in the town of Litchfield. Transitions exist in Litchfield to Norfolk Southern and BNSF Railway.

For operation, a locomotive type GP10 (No. 1604) is available. The locomotive is painted in the colors light green and yellow of the former Illinois Terminal Railroad.
