The main plot revolves around a young volleyball player and her obsessive fan. PlotAfter Kelly Reyes and her teammate lose a close semi-final match in the Association of Volleyball Professionals' championship, a print journalist, Holden Gregg, wants to interview her, saying that losers' comments are more interesting than winners'. The interview leads to dinner and a night together. News comes that one of the women on the team that defeated Kelly has died in a hit-and-run accident. Kelly takes her place on the team that will play in the championship in two weeks, the police investigation into the hit-and-run discloses that Kelly may be in grave danger, and that real Holden Gregg has died earlier that month. Kelly realizes that Holden is not the one he says to be. A murderer is out there waiting for the championship game. Kelly started to train with her new teammate Jennifer 'Jen' Crowe, who says it is her last chance to win the competition due to persistent knee injuries. Holden once again tries to get close to Kelly, but Jen's boyfriend Matt stops him. However, Holden attacks Matt who ends up in coma, what causes a quarrel between Kelly and Jen.
