释义 |
Interactive e-mails (or Interactive Newsletters) are a specific type of engagement technique used by marketers to create content with multiple paths that lead the recipient to various results. They vary in concept and sophistication between presenting only 2 options for the recipient to choose, extending to multiple options determined by the e-mails UX/UX developer. The rise of the use of interactive components in email marketing had a direct correlation in the early 21st century when open rates and click through rates were decreasing in non-social, non-interactive one way communications. OriginsThe earliest known example was created by a hyper local publication called Midtown Miami Magazine (MMM) in 2019. Visual references in their e-mails point to the popular made for Netflix Original interactive movie "Black Mirrors: Bandersnatch" which serves as the origin point to where MMM may have received it's inspiration. BenefitsThe main advantages to creating interactive e-mails, or newsletters, is to focus on delivering a better user experience to the recipient allowing higher click through rates (CTRs), and multiple click throughs (MCTs)to landing pages, websites and various other content.
