It currently operates several online casino brands in the United Kingdom, including mFortune, PocketWin, Mr Spin and Dr Slot. It develops all games for these brands in-house, including real-money slots, casino and bingo games on mobile and tablet. The company was founded in 2003 by Simon Wilson, and employs over 300 people with headquarters in Birmingham and additional offices in Bucharest, Romania and Taipei, Taiwan. The company's activities are licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.[1] Intouch Games’ original business activity was the manufacture and supply of leisure machines to the retail betting and pub trades. The threat of the smoking ban, decreasing footfall in traditional pubs combined with the recession lead to diversification. The idea of developing games to be played via mobile phones was conceived whilst attempting to create a betting terminal that could be linked using Bluetooth to mobile devices and, in 2008, mFortune launched with four games for the mobile market.[2] These were Blackjack, Roulette, Poker and a slots game.[3] A mobile Bingo game featuring a chat room was launched later that year. By 2011, additional chat rooms had been introduced and the portfolio of casino games had been extended. mFortune create all of their games in house, and employ dozens of dedicated graphic designers, coders, developers and testers, all based in their West Midlands headquarters. In 2010, the company launched its second brand, PocketWin. This also featured slots, bingo and casino games. This was followed in 2016 by Mr Spin, and the by Dr Slot in 2018. On the first occasion of entering the eGR awards in 2011, the company was voted number one in the Rising Star category. In 2012, the company won further awards including Best Mobile Poker Operator and Best Mobile Bingo Operator at the mGaming Summit, and Mobile Product of the Year at the eGR Awards.[4] The company saw revenue of £16.5m during 2013. In 2014, mFortune was named in the London Stock Exchange Group’s annual 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain list,[5] and moved premises to create local jobs.[6] In 2015, mFortune was nominated, and came highly commended, for an eGR Operator Award in the Mobile category, alongside Gala Bingo, LeoVegas, Mecca Bingo, Sky Betting & Gaming, Unibet and William Hill and in 2016 was shortlisted for Queens Award for Enterprise.
