Journal Istorija 20.veka (History of the 20th Century) was launched in 1983 by the Institute for Contemporary History in Belgrade. It biannually publishes contributions whose subject is contemporary history of Serbia, former Yugoslavia and the Balkans in European and global context. Journal publishes articles that critically investigate social, cultural, economic and intellectual developments of 20th century. Editors-in-Chief of Istorija 20.veka were dr Nikola Popović (1983-1987), dr Branislav Gligorijević (1988-1991), dr Smiljana Đurović (1992-1995), dr Milan Vesović (1995-1999), dr Đorđe Borozan (2000-2001), dr Kosta Nikolić (2002-2004), dr Bojan Dimitrijević (2005-2015) and dr Dragomir Bondžić (2016- ) Journal Istorija 20.veka is categorized as National Journal of International Importance (M24) by Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. It is included in ERIH PLUSindex (European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences) and in Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL).
