This article is about the 21th-century Korean contemporary artist. Jaeyeol Han (10 June 1983 – ) is a Korean painter. He volunteered to help HAITI after the 2010 earthquake and served in the UN army for seven months there. South Korean men are required to serve in the military for two years, the rest of the time he was in Korea. He saw, learned, and experienced many things there. It was the most impressive period of his life. The distinction of "volunteer or victim" could not be distinguished there. There was a very complicated political and social situation. There were also many layers of problems with human rights all at once. That influenced him a lot to become an artist. From the experience, He was able to find an subject matter. He had mostly watched the people who have lost so much but still live their lives. He thought that such an individual and existence was great and it was worth visualizing. He expanded the subject to something more universal now thought. Still, He is deeply interested in the existential meaning that humans have. Of course, He is a painter so He speak with a manner of painting. LinkOfficial Website[https://www.facebook.com/HANJAEYEOL/ Facebook Page] [https://www.instagram.com/jaeyeolhan/ Instagram] |
