Jalen Jelks is an American football defensive end for the Oregon Ducks.

College career

After redshirting for a year, Jelks played in 19 games during his first 2 seasons at Oregon. During his junior season, Jelks started all 13 games and recorded 7 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss. During the season, he was put on the watchlist for the Bednarik award.^[1] After the season, he was amed to the All-Pac-12 Second Team, as well as the Pro Football Focus First-Team All-Pac-12 and the Phil Steele Second-Team All-Pac-12 Conference.^[2] Despite speculation that he may declare for the 2018 NFL Draft, Jelks later announced that he would return to Oregon for his senior season.^[3]
