释义 |
Jamaican Draughts (or Jamaican Checkers) is a variant of the strategy board game draughts. Jamaican Draughts shares a few similarities with International Draughts but has many rules and many such minigames that cause it to be classified as a completely different game. A couple differences notable at first are the smaller gameboard (8x8 squares rather than 10x10), and fewer checkers per player (12 rather than 20). As well as the color of the checkers having a range of possible colors from the regular black and white players to neon green and orange. HistoryInnovation/CreationAround 1674 are the earliest written records of Jamaican Draughts games being played, according to scientific assumption the original English Draughts game was brought to Jamaica through the Incans.
