Hailing from Canada, record producer, mixer and engineer Jay Ruston resides in Los Angeles, California. Jay has worked with bands such as Anthrax, Stone Sour, Steel Panther, Meat Loaf, Bowling for Soup, Fozzy, Wilson Phillips, Theory of a Deadman and Avatar. Biography Jay Ruston started playing bass guitar at 13 in his home town of Windsor, Ontario. After high school graduation Jay spent 2 years at Fanshawe recording program studying under Jack Richardson, producer for The Guess Who, Alice Cooper and Bob Seger. Jay then moved to Ottawa to work at Distortion Studios, owned by Leslie Howe. Leslie Howe discovered and produced Alanis Morissette. Jay also mentored under producer Nick Blagona, who worked with Deep Purple, Cat Stevens and The Police. In 2003 Jay moved to Los Angeles working at Leslie Howe's recording studio where he started working with producers Peter
Asher and Desmond Child.
