Jessica Yvonne Rizo (born June 8, 1983), is an American actress and model.

Career

Early in her career, Rizo worked as a mortgage broker and landscape designer to support herself between acting jobs. Rizo began her acting career in the early 2000s by appearing in small roles in several American television series and films. Her first on-screen appearance was a role as a briefcase model on NBC's game show Deal or No Deal.^[1] She worked as a body and hand double for Sofia Vergara for three years. She participated in Vergara's major commercial brand deals, such as Diet Coke, Covergirl, Rooms to Go and Suave. She has also worked as a body double for Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba and Eva Mendes.^[2] Rizo has worked as a dancer for Katy Perry, Drake and Ricky Martin. She has been a presenter at VH1's Do Something Awards and Critics Choice Awards.^[3]

In 2007 she played a cheerleader in the television movie Not Another High School Show and Carmen in the comedy television movie Burn. Also in 2007, she appeared in two episodes of the comedy television series Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!. She had small roles in films Wild Child (2008), L.A. Gigolo (2009) and The Telling (2009). She had a lead role as Stacia in action thriller film Assassins' Code (2011).^[4] She appeared in the science fiction drama film Love and made one-off appearances in the television series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In 2018 Rizo appeared on the Netflix series One Day at a Time, portraying Esther. She made her directorial debut with A New Day (2018), a documentary film exploring the journey of a basketball team in Skid Row.^[5]
