JessLee is an American singer, songwriter, and recording artist out of Stuart, FL.^[1] She took part in Season 14 of the American singing talent show The Voice on NBC.^[2]

Biography

JessLee was born in Loxahatchee, FL. She was introduced to music at an early age by her grandparents, musicians Sal and Roger Rossi, and has been writing her own songs since she was 9. The first song she wrote won a local Florida songwriting contest. She attended Stuart's Murray Middle School and graduated from Martin County High School in 2010^[3] . In 2016 she was the regional winner of the Treasure Coast and has opened for acts LoCash and The Voice's own Cassadee Pope. In 2017 she released an original single, Burn^[4]and music video^[5]. In 2017 Burn was nominated for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) in the Country genre category^[6]. She auditioned for and took part in Season 14 of The Voice on NBC.

Music

JessLee writes and performs her own original songs as an independent artist. In 2015 she released a five-track EP titled "Just a Kiss."^[7] In 2016 she released two singles “Girl Code" and “Christmas in America".^[8] In 2017 she released the original single "Burn"^[4] with a music video^[9]. in 2017 "Burn" was featured as Track 3 on a compilation CD by [https://www.amazon.com/Chasing-Your-Dream-Radio-Vol/dp/B071SG5HB2/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1543524640&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=chasing+your+dream+radio+compilation+cd Chasing Your Dream Radio]. She has performed at country music concerts that also featured artists Wynona Judd and the Big Noise, Uncle Kracker, RaeLynn, Big Smo, Joe Nichols, Thompson Square, Parmalee, Trent Tomlinson, Josh Gracin, Restless Heart, Clare Dunn, Love and Theft, and Craig Cambell.

The Voice

In 2018, JessLee auditioned for Season 14 of the American singing talent show The Voice on NBC.^[12] In episode 4 broadcast on March 6, 2018, she performed "I'm with You"^[13]. Both Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton turned their chairs and fought over JessLee.^[14] Ultimately she chose to be part of Blake Shelton's ″Team Blake″.^[15]^[16] On March 19 she was eliminated in her Battle Round against Team Blake teammate Kyla Jade.
