{{AFC submission|||u=Lalafogle|ns=2|ts=20190405232833}} Jim Sikora is a Chicago filmmaker best know for his underground feature films WALLS IN THE CITY[1], which starred David Yow of the band Jesus Lizard and with a soundtrack by the Dennison Kimball Trio[2], BULLET ON A WIRE[3], alsp starring David Yow, and ROCK & ROLL PUNK[4]. Jim Sikora's films and videos have aired on MTV's 120 MINUTES to PBS's IMAGE UNION. His film “Bullet on a Wire” was shown in 18 film festivals in the US, including the Rotterdam International Film Festival and in London at the ICA as part of an American Underground Cinema program line-up[5]. Sikora has also had successful theatrical runs of his pictures in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Jim Sikora was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Columbia College Chicago on the G.I. Bill after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He has made music videos and promos for labels such as SST Records, Touch & Go, Amphetamine Reptile, Arista, and Rykodisk. The bands he's done videos and promos for include Urge Overkill, The Frogs, Leaving Trains, Mike Watt, The Jesus Lizard, Pegboy, Mutts[6], Enuff Z' Nuff, The Screaming Trees, Greg Ginn of Black Flag, and The Roots. Jim Sikora produced and directed the feature film THE EARL[7], written by playwright Brett Neveu, and THE CRITICS[8], written by novelist and playwright Adam Langer. His film shorts include BRING ME THE HEAD OF GERALDO RIVERA[9], STAGEFRIGHT CAMELEON[10], and X-MAS '73[11]. Sikora is currently developing the Chicago late-60s period piece TIM and the feature I'LL DIE TOMORROW, starring Michael Shannon.
