Jo Gordon is the interim Chief Executive of Northamptonshire Arts Management Trust and its venues.[1] Early yearsJo Gordon was born in Cuckfield, Sussex and attended Warden Park, Cuckfield and Haywards Heath Six Form College. During her university years, Gordon attended University of Nottingham from 1996-1999, including a stint at University of Illinois at Champaign- Urbana, USA for a year during this time.[2] CareerJo Gordon joined Royal & Derngate as Director of Marketing and Sales ten years ago and was appointed interim Chief Executive on the departure of Martin Sutherland in 2018.[3] Gordon was part of the Strategic Management Team that formed Northamptonshire Arts Management Trust with Sutherland, and was central to the business-planning and launch of The Core at Corby Cube. She created the Made in Northampton brand, supported the creation and expansion of Northampton Filmhouse and has overseen Royal & Derngate’s growth in audience numbers, now delivering £28million of income to the local economy.[4] Prior to her role at Northamptonshire Arts Management Trust, Jo was a freelance marketing and press professional with clients including the Royal Shakespeare Company, Oxford Playhouse, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Leicester Comedy Festival and Creative New Zealand. Before that she worked for ATG for five years and was part of the team that opened Milton Keynes Theatre in 1999. As well as Gordon’s extensive career in the arts, she has been trustee for the Northampton Community Foundation since 2017 and was trustee for Anjali Dance Company from 2006-2008.[5] Personal LifeJo Gordon lives in Northampton, with partner Andy and her two boys, Harley and Alex.
