Johan Janssens

Johan Janssens is a Belgian web architect, tech entrepreneur and free software advocate.

Career

Born in Diest, Belgium, Johan is best known as the co-founder^[1][2] and lead developer of Joomla!^[3], the free and open-source content management system (CMS). Outside of Joomla!, Johan is also the founder of Nooku, an open-source web application development framework and also co-founder/director of Timble.

Education

Johan earned his master's degree in Computer Science and Interactive Media from GroepT University in Leuven, Belgium.
