Aside from this, the sources don't really seem to show notability that well, as they mostly seem to be databases with times. Specific coverage of Bosch would be ideal. The 'Rally Racing' section is also completely unsourced. Nerd1a4i (talk) 20:57, 27 March 2019 (UTC)}}

John Bosch is a dutch racing driver. He was born on the 1st of april 1965 in Zaandam.

Biography

Johns late father was a business man who owned the golden Tulip Hotels.[1] In 2006 he died on new years day because of a hart attack. in 2018 John and his brothers and sister are still trying to get the heritage of his father, but Stella Immink (their stepmother) is not cooperating in this settlement.[2]

John has raced in various racing classes from prototypes to GT and even has done rally racing.[3]

Start of his racing career

He started racing in 1971 in Karts. After going to Formula Ford in England in 1982, he moved to European Formula 3 in 1983, where he finished 20th with 2 points. In 1984 he again did compete in a couple of races in the European Formula 3, but didn't gather any points.

Rally racing

After the Formula 3 stint he moved to the European Rally Championship where he drover an Audi Quattro from 1985 to 1987. From 1988 to 1990 John concentrated mostly on the Rally races in the Netherlands. In 1989 he won the national title in a BMW M3. In 1991 and 1992 he moved back to the European Rally Championship with the BMW M3 where he finished both seasons on 4th place. In 1993 he moved back to the national Rally Championship, this time in a Nissan Sunny.

GT and Sportscars

2003

After not raced for about 10 years, John returned in 2003 to join Jan Lammers with his team Racing for Holland in the FIA Sportscar Championship. Here he drove a Dome S101 sportscar. Together with Jan, John finished 3 times 1st and eventually winning the championship.[4]

During this year he also raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, again with Jan and Andy Wallace. They finished the race 4th in class and 6th overall.

2004

For this year John Bosch created his own team: Barron Connor Racing[5]. He entered 2 Ferrari 575's in the Le Mans Endurance Series.[6]

The season started with the 12 hours of Sebring (not part of the Le Mans Endurance series). The car with John driving finished 15th, but more impressive was the fact that it finished 2nd in the GTS class. The other car had a DNF.[7]

The Barron Connor Racing team ended the season 2nd and 3rd in the GTS class.

Both cars were also entered in the 24 Hours of Le Mans that year. Unfortunately both cars didn't make it to the finish. Car 61 (with John Bosch as one of the drivers) stopped at lap 163 and car number 62 stopped at lap 200.[8]

2005

After the 2004 season it was clear that Barron Connor Racing wouldn continue with the Ferrari 575 GTC.[9] John entered the Ferrari Challenge Europe, where he wasn't very successful, with only 8 points he finished 17th. [10] Jan Lammers also asked John to join him again in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Racing finished 7th overall and 5th in class.[11]

2006

The Ferrari Challenge Europe - Trofeo Pirelli was once again on the menu for John. This time the season went better then one year earlier. John finished 3rd with 110,5 points.[12]
