John Franklin Kirk JR (April 13, 1987, Detroit, Michigan, United States of America – present) is a Local 149 Roofer, envisioner, entrepreneur, and future CEO of Kirk Roofing. Early lifeJohnny as he was Known early on was born to John Sr and Beverly Sue on April 13,1987 in Detroit,Mi. Making him an Aries. He is the oldest of their 3 children. EducationKirk stared his education in Taylor, Michigan were he attended McDowell elementary,west middle School,and John F Kennedy high school until 11 grade before moving to Paragould,Arkansas his senior year and graduating from Paragould high school. Family's roofing historyJohn Kirk JR is Journeyman an fourth generation roofer in Detroit's local 149. His great grandfather Frank began at Schreiber. He was succeeded by his 3 sons Kirk,Slim,and Frog. With Slim being succeeded by John Sr and Shawn,and Frog by Hodie. With John Jr and brother Bryan succeeding John Sr,and cousins Daulton and Denver Shawn. His great uncle bob was Superintendent Grandfather a foreman father a Foreman since age 22 and uncle Shawn Vice President. Personal roofing historyJohnny began attending Weekend roofing projects at the age of 10, with the simple job of walking around the houses his father and uncle we're roofing and collecting any nails that fell. With a daily pay of $20 his father would deduct $1 for every nail he found at the end of the day. Being determined and wanting to make his father proud he began taring off and carrying all the jobs shingles to the roof himself at 15. His extreme athleticism, determination, quick thinking, and willingness to go above and beyond quickly made him a valuable asset and through out high school was earning $200 a day an was part of the best shingles crew in the world. ExperienceAt age 18 Johnny begain installing commercial roofs for his father at Southeast Missouri Roofing contractors which had the contract to install the roofs going on all the Walmart's around the country during the Walmart boom. After 3 years he returned to Michigan we're like his family he joined local 149 Which trains and prduces the nation's top hot tar,single ply,and modified built up roofers and Schreiber roofing which has been around since 1916 we're he completed the apprenticeship program and became a journeyman and installed some of the world's most dangerous, complicated,and breath taking roofs. After 7 years working at Schreiber and still under his father the next 2 were going experience from other union company but remained in local 149. Johnny has installed roofs all over the country including roofs on professional sports arenas,roofs on the most secured government facilitys,and the roofs of our top auto manufacturing company. These roofs include complete old roof removal and new construction roofs of shingles (dimensional and tab),cedar shake,hottar(pitch and asphalt), PVC,rubber,cold apply,torchdown, built up,and enviormentally friendly green roofs. ProjectHe's roofed (in most cases multiple roofs for the same individual) Ford's, GM, Chrysler, United States, Department of Energy, Walmart, LaSalle bank world headquarters, United States, post office, redstone arsenal, Kelloggs, post, att, Tyson chicken and school and college all over the east coast to name a few. QualitiesJohn Kirk is still a young, healthy, extremely good looking young man with a bright future. He's got a great vocabulary,very charming and charismatic. He's extremely persuasive cunning and usually allways looks at the big picture. He's currently in a self inflicted set back that he could change at any time. Easly capable with some disappline of completing and multiple number of task no matter the size. Awards
EnvisionsJJ Jr envisions himself taking the tools his family taught him and the gifts god gave him and taking his family name and roofing to the next level,by creating and guiding Kirk roofing into the future. He plans to install the world's most captivating roofs,and also install the roofs for the first buildings built outside out atmosphere weather it be the moon or Mars.
