Sir John Lee of Coton Hall was an English nobleman from Shropshire who came from a long line of nobility dating back to [https://www.geni.com/people/Sir-John-de-la-Lee/6000000001210502843 Sir John de la] Lee who lived from 1168-1228. He was a predecessor of both Light Horse Harry and General Robert E. Lee. He lived from 1530 to 1605. He was born in Shropshire England and died in Coton Hall Shropshire England. He was the son of Sir Humphrey Lee of Coton Hall and Katherine Lee. He married Joyce Lee and had 8 children including William Lee of Coton Hall and Jasper Lee.
