John W. Busterud, COL, USA (Ret.) John W. Busterud is an energy and environmental attorney and retired U.S. Army Colonel. He served with the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) in Operation Iraqi Freedom as Executive Officer Civil Military Operations Directorate, Multi-National Force - Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom as Deputy Civil Military Operations, Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa, Djibouti. His decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal and Parachutist Badge. He is a member of the California Veterans Board and Chairman of the American Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East.
