The Joseph L. Doob Prize, also called the Doob Prize, is one of twenty-two prizes given out by the American Mathematical Society (AMS).[1]. It recognizes an outstanding research book that makes a seminal contribution to the research literature, reflects the highest standards of exposition, and promises to have a deep and long-term impact in its area. The prize was created in 2005 in memory of the former AMS president Joseph L. Doob. It is awarded every three years at the Joint Mathematics Meetings and carries a cash reward of $5,000. Recipients
