José Kaleb VelardeJosé Kaleb Velarde was born on July 23, 2000. He’s currently studying at Harvard University. His alma matter is Lewisville High School, which he graduated from in 2018, while being valedictorian. Personal LifeJosé Velarde has lived in his childhood home ever since he was 3, in Lewisville, Texas. In that household, he lived with his two siblings, Jacob, and Joanna. He also lived with his two parents, José Erasmo Velarde and Sylvia Velarde. Although before settling into his Lewisville home, he was a millitary child, as his father was in the United States Army and served for 8 years. He lived in Abilene, Texas before moving to Lewisville. While attending Lewisville High School, he participated in the orchestra program, in which he played for the varsity level for most of his time there. He was elected sophomore class parliamentarian while attending high school. He was also elected National Honor Society president for Lewisville High School in his senior year. While in high school he managed to earn a 5/5 on 7 of 10 of his AP Exams. Prior to him choosing Harvard University, he was accepted to Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, and University of Texas at Austin. He was also a Gates Scholar which grants him a full ride to the university of his choice. José is known to be a devout Seventh-day Adventist Church member, and regularly attends church services. Harvard LifeJosé is currently participating in Harvard Mariachi Veritas and plays the violin. Sources
