{{AFC submission|t||ts=20190307163420|u=216.8.170.91|ns=118|demo=}}Jovan Isailović, Sr. (Irig, Habsburg Monarchy, about 1740 - Dalj, Austrian Empire, 1807) was a well-known Serbian iconographer who worked in the eighteenth century. There is no record where he was taught the art of painting and by whom. Most of his life was spent in Dalj working as an icon painter. There he took commissions to paint new icons and restore older ones in churches and monasteries belonging to the Metropolitanate of Karlovci (1784-1789).^[1]He mostly painted icons. His most recognizable and popular work is the iconostasis in the Serbian Orthodox Church of St. George in Sombor^[2]

where he worked in 1771 and 1772 with two other colleague painters, Teodor Kračun and Lazar Serdanović. ^[3]^[4]He also painted the iconostasis of the Serbian Orthodox Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Bijelo Polje in 1783.

His grandson Jovan isailović, Jr. was also a well-known artist.
