In 2002, the film was released in honduran theatres with great success, being the first film in cinemas in the history of Honduras.[4] In 2006, he wrote and directed the first reality show of Honduran television. "La Reliquia". In 2012, Juan Carlos Fanconi released his second feature film "El Xendra", which was screened in theatres of Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica,[5] Guatemala and Nicaragua, and has been awarded at the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival (Jury Award for Excellence), [6] and in the Festival Ícaro (Best Production), besides having received 8 official selections around the world. In 2017, Juan Carlos Fanconi signed an agreement with the well-known distribution Company in Los Angeles, Shoreline Entertainment, [7] for the distribution of his latest film, A Place in the Caribbean, which is currently being shown on HBO and Cinemax networks [8] , as well as television tv networks in China and other countries in Asia.
