}}Karim Ismail (born July 22, 1997[1]) is an American entrepreneur, author, speaker and internet personality.[2][3] Ismail is best known for his work in digital production, social media and mobile application design.[4]

Early life

Ismail was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to American Egyptian parents. Karim lived in New Mexico with his older sister, parents, and dogs where he attended school and competitively swam for Los Alamos High School.[5][6] After living in New Mexico for 14 years, Ismail and his family moved to Asia where Karim focused on producing videos, images, and music which helped him pick up a following on social media.[7][8] Ismail would go on to spend most of his time traveling and exploring uncommon locations across the world as well as contributing to humanitarian work. After living in Asia, Karim moved to Lugano at the age of 15 to attend the American School in Switzerland.[9] Karim continued his education in TASIS until graduating in 2015. He then moved to Miami to pursue an engineering degree from the University of Miami.[10]

Career

Writing, Music, Photography, and Digital Media Critique

While in High School, Karim operated his own digital design and production franchise where he would produce films and images for clients as well as sell his photography work online as stock footage and canvas prints.[11] He would also produce music, film, and ghost wrote. His first and only (released) single "Cloudlight" was released for free under a musician alias EyceApollo and amassed over 10,000 hits within days.[12]

Givet - Buy, Sell and Trade

In 2015, Ismail founded the mobile tech company [https://www.gogivet.com Givet][13], a mobile service that turns used items into currency while streamlining the process of buying, selling and trading preowned goods. Givet received support from a variety of private angel investors.[14][15] and was launched on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store in 2018.
