Khoros, formerly Spredfast + Lithium, is a global customer engagement software company that provides community management, social media marketing, content management, social care, messaging, and social media analytics tools to enterprise brands and agencies.

Khoros is headquartered in Austin with offices in San Francisco, Bangalore, New York City, London, Argentina, Sydney, Hamburg, and Ukraine.

History

As of 2019, Khoros has more than 500 employees and more than 2000 customers globally. Customers include Pizza Hut, Sprint, HomeAway, and more.^[1]

In July 2017, Lithium announced that it was acquired by Vista Equity Partners, an Austin-based private equity firm focused on investments in software, data and technology-enabled businesses.^[2] Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

In September 2018, Vista Equity Partner acquired Spredfast and announced they would be merged with Lithium Technologies.^[3] Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

On March 5, 2019, Spredfast + Lithium formally announced their new name: Khoros^[4]

Khoros products include Conversations (social media management)^[5], Intelligence (social analytics and research)^[6], Community (community platform)^[7], Experiences (social media curation)^[8], Messaging (brand owned messaging)^[9], Response (social media customer care), and Reach (social media management)^[10].
