词条 Draft:Kurmentinsky cave complex
释义

In 2005, during the archaeological expedition, the associate professor of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University of Kyrgyzstan A.M. Kamyshev discovered caves near the village of Kurmenty on the very shore of the Issyk-Kul lake, which caused a lot of questions. At this stage of the research, the Kyrgyz archeologists of the Kurmenty cave complex are seen as a narrow manhole, gradually expanding, with small rooms looking like monastic cells from different sides. As far as can be judged now, there are about thirty such cells. Archaeologists suggest the existence of lower tiers, now covered with earth.

Near the monastery, near the village of Kurmenty, there are the Royal kurgans. Under the ancient mounds lie the ranks of the leaders of the Saks, who resisted the Persians and Greeks under the leadership of Alexander the Great. The monastery may have been or are the relics of the holy Apostle Matthew. The complex is a narrow manhole, gradually expanding, with small rooms that look like monastic cells, opening into it from different sides. As far as can be judged now, there are about thirty such cells. Archaeologists suggest the existence of lower tiers, which are now covered with earth. This area was not ignored by historians and archaeologists (among them - PP Semenov-Tyanshansky, VV Barthold, Vinnik, and others). But the caves on the tip of one of the smaller peninsulas never came to the attention of scientists, although the inhabitants of the surrounding villages were known from the beginning of the 20th century. This strange fact can be explained simply: the caves were dug in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and were of no scientific interest to Russian and Soviet researchers as devoid of architectural and historical value, therefore they were silent about them. However, there are several objections to such a “light” explanation, and the main one is why and who needed to dig a complex multi-chamber, perhaps even a two-tier arched structure at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries? To answer this objection, we list all the subjects of history operating at this time in this area. These are: firstly, Kyrgyz, who roamed north of the coast in the Kurmenty river valley closer to the mountains, secondly, Russian migrant peasants from the villages of Alekseyevka (Uy-tal), Ozerno-Folbaumovka (Ozernoye) and rare farms scattered around thirdly, the inhabitants of Holy Trinity Monastery, whose lands stretched in the area of 530 hectares throughout the Bright Cape and beyond.
