Lea Coligado (born 1993) is a software engineer at Google and Diversity & Inclusion advocate. After experiencing sexual harassment during a software engineering internship, she founded the photoblog Women of Silicon Valley, a spin-off of the photoblog Humans of New York. Women of Silicon Valley shares the stories of underrepresented female and genderqueer technologists.[1] Having launched Women of Silicon Valley during the Pao v. Kleiner Perkins trials, Coligado quickly attracted the attention of Bay Area journalists and was featured in publications including CNN, ABC, Mic, and Buzzfeed.[2][3][4][5] In 2017, Coligado was selected by the BBC as part of their 100 Women list for her work on Women of Silicon Valley.[6] She was also featured in Emily Chang's Brotopia and Women's Equality Party co-founder Catherine Mayer's book Attack of the 50ft. Women.{{cn}} Coligado was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. In 2016, she graduated from Stanford University with degrees in Computer Science and Italian.
