Leapwing BVBA is a developer and supplier of professional digital audio signal processing technologies and audio effects, used in recording, mixing, mastering, post production, broadcast, and live sound. The company's corporate headquarters and main development facilities are located in Belgium.^[1]

In 2018, Leapwing won a MusicTech Gear of the Year Award for its DynOne plugin.^[2]

History

Leapwing Audio was founded in January 2016 by Robin Reumers, Jeroen Dreessen and Emiliano Caballero. Later that year, Leapwing released its first product, the CenterOne spatial audio plugin.^[3]

Immediately after, in January of 2017 Leapwing launched DynOne,^[4] its multiband parallel compressor. The following year and a half were spent optimising and improving both plugins, which resulted in a v2 of both CenterOne and DynOne. In January of 2019, Leapwing announced their third plugin StageOne,^[5] a plugin to enhance width and depth as well as upmix mono recordings.

Products

Leapwing currently has 3 plugins:

CenterOne: a spatial audio plugin which allows you to adjust your phantom center signal without affecting any panorama or spectral characteristics.

DynOne: a multi-band parallel dynamics plugin with auto-adjustable attack/release settings and a unique weighting mechanism.

StageOne: an audio plugin which gives control over the width and depth of a stereo signal and can upmix mono recordings or enhance your phantom center.

All 3 plugins are available as VST, AU, and AAX on both Windows and MacOS.
