Leaving Nutwood (LN) - 1991-1995 - were an early 90's alternative rock band from Devon, UK.

The band was formed as a three piece in December 1991 by guitarist, Andrew 'Andy' Bates and drummer, Stephen 'Steve' Holman and front man Timothy 'Tim' O'Dea. They recorded a few Ned's Atomic Dustbin covers and generally made a terrible noise. In early 1992 the band was joined by bass player, Gareth Conway who was at the same college as Andy, Steve and Tim[1][2][3].

Leaving Nutwood performed its first gig on the 26th March 1992 at the Exmouth Banqueting Suite, two days after Tim's 17th birthday. As well as the standard Ned's cover, LN also performed their own material; at this time, mostly written by Tim and Andy and included 'Black Cherry Yogurt', a song written about some strange sexual fantasy.[4][5][6]
