I created this draft, and did not mean it for AfC submission. Someone else did that. I meant this draft purely for incubation. The idea is that if she does win, it will be moved into mainspace. If she doesn't, she probably isn't notable. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:30, 31 October 2018 (UTC)

Lena Epstein is an American businesswoman and Republican Party politician from the state of Michigan.

Early life

Epstein was raised in a Jewish family[1] in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She graduated from Detroit Country Day School, earned her bachelor's degree from Harvard University, and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.

Career

At age 22, Epstein went to work for her family's business, Vesco Oil in Southfield, Michigan, which distributed automotive and industrial lubricants in Southfield. Epstein is a co-owner of Vesco, with her mother and sister, Lilly.[2]

Epstein served as the co-chair of Donald Trump's 2016 state campaign in Michigan.[3] In 2017, Epstein declared her candidacy for the U.S. Senate in the 2018 election against incumbent Debbie Stabenow.[4] She decided to end her Senate campaign and run for the United States House of Representatives seat in {{ushr|MI|11}} when incumbent David Trott announced his retirement.[5] Epstein defeated Rocky Raczkowski, Mike Kowall, Klint Kesto, and Kerry Bentivolio in the Republican Party primary election, and will face Democrat Haley Stevens in the general election.[6]

Epstein is a former Democrat.[7]
