Little Pig was started by Siviwe Kwatsha after he was motivated by the amount of students and that were unemployed in the province, especially in the IT field. The idea behind Little Pig is to get and provide work to unemployed students who have worked in the respective IT fields (among other fields) and drive their passion, as well as help them obtain their full capabilities working on solutions for clients that require them. Little Pig aims to do this by mentoring one-on-one and with team building to construct each individuals experience more with each project. Little Pig is adaptive to the constantly evolving ways and is using the SCRUM project management methodology to keep both communication to good levels and makes sure involvement from all parties in the company. What Little Pig DoesLearnerships and InternshipsLittle Pig believes in building up each persons experience through both team development and having one-on-one sessions to ensure higher understanding in, Network Management and Second line support. Little Pig has two different internships on offer, Self-funded and funded by MICT SETA. Internship Groups:
Community WorkDuring the year of 2018, Little Pig set out to give back to the community on Mandela Day//www.mandeladay.com/, a day which is celebrated by devoting time helping or volunteering in the legacy of Nelson Mandela, by helping the local creche Azuka Day Care Center. The employees engaged with activities with the children as well as cleaning up of the grounds and maintenance of the building. A part of all this work, the employees of Little Pig also gave a donation in order to help even more.[1] Loaves and Fishes//www.lafn.co.za/ is another establishment that Little Pig assists with by doing all their ICT related issues such as, cabling, repairs, installations etc, for no cost. Little Pig worked alongside Loaves and Fishes to help the Azuka Day Care Center.
