Surpassing it's competitor WSplit, it is the most commonly used timer for timing speedruns. [3]FeaturesCustomizable LayoutUsing components, users are able to customize the contents of their layout. There are 23 components to choose from, not including user-created components. Typically, the title, splits, and timer components will be used in conjunction with one another to create a basic layout. The title component displays the name of the game being ran, the category of the run, the amount of attempts made of the run, the amount of attempts finished, the platform of the run, as well as the icon for the game. Each piece of information may be toggled off or on accordingly. The splits component displays a set list of goals for the runner to complete. These goals correspond with tasks or missions dealing with the completion of the category's rules. The timer component is used to track the amount of time has passed during a run. The color of the time will change based on the splits. By default, the time being red will mean that the runner is behind in the run, green would mean that the user is ahead in the run. It was made for speedrunners that do not run Windows. It is currently available on several different internet browsers, including Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Opera, and the default internet browsers on iOS and Android devices. It is not supported for Internet Explorer and Opera Mini browsers. [4]LiveSplit RemoteLiveSplit Remote is an external application of LiveSplit, available on the Google Play Store for Android devices. It's purpose is to allow users to start, split, undo, skip, pause, resume, and reset via their phones, using the LiveSplit Server component.
